Ok... so today I come inside, to find my persian laying on the floor. Usually, when I call her, she comes right away. Not this time... She just laid there. When I stood her up, she took a few steps, and laid back down... she appears to drag her hind leg a little. If she were an older cat, Id think shed had a stroke. (Shes 2.) I took her to the vet, and they did a complete physical, along with bloodwork, and everything came back ok. The only thing was that her white blood cell count was down a little. I read the symptoms for FeLV and it doesnt seem like shes really exhibiting any of them. Does anyone know what a cat acts like when it swallows something? Im wondering if that could be it? Please email me at [email protected] with suggestions.
thanks
katie

There are several different types of white blood cells. Do you know which one was low? What was the actual value?

hmmm - not sure. the vet just said that "everything is ok, physically, but her white blood cell count is down a little." She didnt seem too concerned.

Not concerned? I say it is time for another vet opinion. What did this vet say the cause of her lethargy was?
