I've seen a lot of folks call their husband's DH, not just here, but on other message boards as well. What does this stand for? The only thing I could think of was "darling husband." I have no idea what DH means and figured I'd ask

Thanks! I guess I had assumed right. I'm not as literate in online lingo as I used to be

Gosh thanks Angel!
Sandy is a Lab/Border Collie mix. Her papa was a big black Lab and her mama was a Border Collie with blue eyes. Her father got a whiff of mama and jumped the fence, the rest is history
. Sandy was the runt, #8 of 9 -- ......#9 didn't make it. She had bright blue eyes when we first got her but now they're holding at green. She has her own thread in the Lounge, "Road Trip by Sandy the Puppy" and you can see more of her there.

Now we return you to the DH.

-the first couple of times I saw that term was on this particular we site and I thought it meant "dumb husband". I was wrong though.
I figured it out quick enough.

If you think "DH" is bad - I'm a member of a German cat site, and the usual abbreviation for spouses there is "NG", which stands for "Nebengeräusch", i.e., "background noise"!!!! New members really have a hard time with that.

You know what's even more sad? I minored in German and I actually had to think of what Nebengerausch meant!! I need a refresher course

woah! I always thought it meant "Domestic Husband"

Let me explain...haha! Because this is a cat site and when you describe a cat with abbreviations it's usually similar to DSH or DLH meaning "domestic short hair" or "domestic long hair".

Now I feel dumb. haha!!!
