I am sorry to hear that Sasha is going through this.
The low blood sugar thing could be just due to the time of day the sample was taken. If he only eats twice per day then it is possible that in the afternoon his blood sugar gets a little low. It could also be due to how the sample was handled. If any red blood cells were in the tube with the plasma they will continue to eat up glucose, so when the test is done it will read low.
I hope everything gets resolved soon.
Take Care.

Thank you! This calms me a bit to read your thoughts. The vet is having the lab run it again, twice, just to be sure. He thinks there was an error of sorts and said if we need to we'll drive the hour trip to bring Sasha back and he will do it himself right then and there to get the reading. This weekend I have alternated between crying and being really strong - my infallable intuition isn't giving me any direction at the moment, and it's causing anxiety because I usually sense what is coming, but I feel nothing today. So thank you. What I did do, is make the change to feed Sasha small snacks 4-6x per day and add 1/2 tsp of Karo syrup to his food. He's looking at me in the kitchen, "what the heck is up with all this food, mom?"

Oh, Eddie, I am so very sorry your precious little boy's tests were not as good as we had hoped. Sasha is such a fighter, and has clearly proven his strength. He is such a part of your life, and you love him so dearly.
I love him as if he was my own baby. I am praying for him now and will continue to do so. Remember how much he picks up on your emotions and do your best to stay positive for him! Sending love, health, and strength your way!

HAPPY DAY, OH GLORY BE!

Sasha is FeLV and FIV negative. Nothing else showed up on the tests at all. I just burst into tears of relief. I just felt it wasn't his time. In any event, the vet agreed we did some great maneuvering and are feeding him on a 4 meal schedule w/tsp of Karo syrup. He's due back at the vet in 2 weeks for another blood sugar test and the doctor said that because he is so healthy in every single way, that we're going to hold off on medicine at this time, and take a conservative, natural approach with the adjustment of the feeding times.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED PRAY AND SEND VIBES. I TRULY BELIEVE!
