Posting a Signature at TCS - Page 2

I've tried to create a signature. I was successful posting a picture, but to creat a signature....I just don't get it.

  • Height of signature can be no greater than 150 pixels at 72dpi. This obviously refers to images.
  • You may have up to 4 lines of standard size text, single-spaced, if all you are using is text.
  • In general, if you have an image banner, no other text, ticker, smilie, etc. will be allowed. Exceptions may occur if your image is smaller than 150 pixels in height.
  • You may include a discreet link to another site in your signature. You may not advertise your site in the main body of your post.
  • Member signatures are subject to review and deletion by the moderating team without advance warning.

You need to have at least 5 posts.

when you have enough posts, you can check here for designers.

I'm sure my picture is sufficiently small, and have successfully uploaded it to the point where it shows in "Edit Signature," and have clicked "Save Signature," but it doesn't show up on my post(s). I did all of this yesterday, mid-day, and thought it might take overnite to finish "loading," but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Is there something else I'm overlooking?

Thanks,
Ginny

Ah-ha . . . it came up on a new message, but not an old message!!!

OK . . . guess I did it right afterall!!!

I see an image in your signature:

Can you see everyone else's siggies? If not you may have accidentally told it not to show signatures which can be changed in your user CP.
Photobucket was also doing upgrades yesterday so some images wouldn't have showed for a while

ETA: yep, they only show in posts made after the siggy was uploaded to TCS

I can see all siggies. Some instructions indicated: "Your new signature will now be appended to every post you’ve got (or indeed, have EVER posted) on The Cat Site!" but I guess this isn't correct.

Anyway, it's showing on new ones!!!

Thanks,
Ginny

That was posted back in 2005, it is quite possible that the software allowed it to append to old posts and some of the upgrades have changed this.

Just posting to double check that I did the signature correctly and that it's an OK size. Please let me know if I need to change it. THANKS! Ok, I fixed something, so I'm editing now to see if it works.

It's within TCS rules and cute as well.
Oh, good. And thanks! I know it's simple, but I just wanted something until I figure out how to make a better one.
Hey, simple isn't necessarily not good. I'd say you're well set now and don't need to rush your next effort! Cami Cute Toes, indeed!

Thanks! That's my favorite picture of her, so far. LOL She looks so bow-legged, it makes me giggle.

It does appear, though, that there's plenty more "cute" above the toes, so maybe it should get displayed in Fur Pics -- hint!hint!
