I don't like giving Emmett a bath. I leave it up to the groomer to do that evil job. But last night Emmett stank something bad. And when I asked my mom if she smelt him too, she said she was wondering what was making that smell.

So I went to Petsmart to see what I can get to bathe him (tomorrow he is going for pictures) they gave me this gause type stuff to wrap his paws in (it didn't stay on) and a cone to put around his head so he wouldn't bite.

Well he didn't bite, the cone stayed on, but my arm will be healing from weeks to come.

Now he is all clean, doesn't smell bad anymore. Letting him groom himself before I put his collar back on. When he's all dry I'll give him some treats, brush him and give him the new toys I bought him.

Poor Emmies. I'm never doing that again. Groomer is going on my speed dial!!

Emmett sure is cute.
Poor baby though having to take a bath, I know mine HATE it. The older they get the harder it is to do.

I never thought about putting gauze on the paws, but now I'm going to try it. I don't think we need a cone, 'cause we never get bitten, only clawed to bits (and our necks look like amateur vampires tried to snack, from when the cats try to reach a paw up to your shoulder so they can hoist themselves up)

He doesn't go outside at all, that is what I found weird about his smell. He smells great now and he's already for his portrait this afternoon.

aw poor Emmett! I bet he's gone all fluffy now too! GIve him scritchies from us... if he'll let you get close enough (ah, and if it's safe enough to do so, of course) Good luck getting that arm better
