I suppose I should consider myself lucky that my kittens waited until they were 5wks to go potty (or, Lydia waited until then to quit cleaning it up). After a few days of them using my whole apt. for a litter box, I'm ready for them to be trained. I tried shutting them in the bathroom - where litterbox is, that didn't work. I wish Lydia (their mother), would be more helpful with this. Also kittens are now 5 1/2wks, & Mo still hasn't tried any food or water, only KMR, or mothers milk, should I be worried? I've been adding kmr to their kitten food, the other kittens love it (so does their mother
), but mo won't try it. Even plain kmr - he won't lap from a dish. I tried sticking his nose in it, & quit giving him bottles. Any advice? on getting kittens to use litterbox, & getting Mo to eat, or at least drink?

A couple of questions.....1. what type of litterbox are you using?? If you are using a standard size one...it may intimidate the kittens or be too tall for them to get into....friends of mine use a foil baking pan, I used a xerox box with one side cut so it was just above the litter (about an inch). That way the kittens could get in and out but when mom went to use the box, the litter wouldn't go all over. 2. what type of litter are you using? I started using feline pine, but the kittens could cover it well and frankly...it stunk...so I switched to clay and they preferred that over the pine.

I'll let Hissy or Gaye answer your other question as both my fosters ate fine.
