Good morning,
Just found your site and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Patty and I live in Hereford, AZ. I am a new breeder of Honey Bear and Savannah cats. Most people have never heard of Honey Bears so if anyone would like more information about my chosen breeds, please feel free to email me. I have a great mentor that luckily lives just up the road from me. I look forward to learning lots of good things from here.

Supposedly, Honey Bears are the first genetically man-made breed. From what I've read, the breed 'legend' is that Honey Bears were created by injecting skunk DNA into persian cat embryos. So basically, a Honey Bear is genetically a persian/skunk hybrid (if you believe that tale
). They are gorgeous cats, from what I can see. Very 'floppy'.

Yes, you are correct. Skunk genes were inserted into a persian. They are the most remarkable cats I have ever seen. More doglike than catlike. I have a picture of my male in my signature. He is the one on the right.
