Persian grooming

What the best kind of brush or comb and shampoo for a Persian?
Hi Katwoman. I recommend a softer bristle brush and two combs. A medium toothed and a fine tooth for legs and face. For shampoo, just make sure it is for cats and it does NOT have tea tree oil in it. Tea tree oil can be toxic to cats but many manufactuerers continue to put it in there shampoos. Apparently it is really popular in the UK especially.

I use the same type of brushes that were mentioned above. I also use a shampoo by VetBasis (no tee tree oil). They also make a water-less foam for kitties that don't like to be bathed.

I bathe my Persians with a bit of Dawn dishwashing liquid, It makes them oh so fluffy!
