Oh stacks of good vibes coming Lilo's way. I'm sure she'll just sail through it. Lily sends stacks of good vibes - she's running around quite happily today and shows no ill effects from her experience yesterday! I hope it's the same for your baby too

I just got LILO from the vets. She got fixed today. They told me at the vets nothing to eat for the rest of the day until the morning. Nothing to drink either. I think thats mean. Poor baby is scouring the house for somehting to eat or drink. Does anyone know if that is right... no food or drink?

Yay!!! She's home
. Sending lots of healing vibes for your little girl. Follow your vet's advice they must have a reason for saying what they did. Our vet said that Lily was permitted a light meal of a little chicken or fish. However she had been starved since 6 pm the previous evening. They obviously have a reason for saying these things - I think it's related to nausea from the anaesthetic.

Thank you so much!!!
Yes she is home. She is acting as if nothing has happened to her. LOL
She does kinda get dizzy sometimes I can tell. But I cant get her to stay still. She is hungry though. I feel bad but I will wait like they told me.
Thanks!!!

I am so glad that she is home. After a few day of healing she will be better than new. You made the right decision for her.

I'm glad she made out ok!

Yep, after my kitties were "fixed" they all had the no eating until the next day rule as well. I think it has something to do with the effects from the anisthesia...but I could be wrong!

Thanks ya'll. Ya'lls support is so helpful!!

Its 11:30 and she is still begging for food. Poor baby. So I gave in just now and gave her about 20 pieces of kitten food (not much I know) with a little water added. She devoured it!!! Then she keeps going back to the bowl just to make sure it IS empty.

She is doing wonderful. I think she misses her babies. But I want to keep her seperate from the other cats just to give it a chance to heal a bit. She just jumped up here and is laying in front of my computer screen. She is purring galore!!
She is such a big girl. She did great!!!
