My 15 year old male is going to the vet tonight, I've notice that his paws are cold, on all 4 feet. any idea what this could be from???? I need to prepare myself if it is something really bad.
Thank you all for your responses. I took Max to the vet yesterday, after fighting IBS and Kidney problems for 2 years, we decided it was time to let him go. He was under 5 lbs, but still eating really well, and drinking plenty, but my vet said he was dehydrated, and he was not getting all or any nutrients from food. We had him on Viokase and prednisolone for quite awhile, but I couldn't put him through anymore. Out of my six cats, I'm down to two now, a 16year old and a 12year old. It's been tought the last 2 years.

So sorry to hear it wasnt good news, but it does sound like you did the best for him. It is harder when they are still eating and drinking well, but when they are losing weight and being dehydrated at the same time, it isnt fair on them.
I am so sorry for your loss Deb. I have no doubt that you made the right decision. I will be praying for you & your sweet boy who will be waiting for you at the bridge.
I am sorry to hear it was incurable. You have been through a rough patch and I wish you as much time as possible and good health with your two other feline companions
