Wow I didn't realize this shift is going on, 6 out of 10 Americans have no confidence. And overall numbers are bad.

Also Arnie is losing support in CA, only 30 percent approval ratings.

Is it time for another trend politically?

If we listen to you, it was time for another trend politically 6 years ago.

However, I have to disagree with your interpretation of the data as presented in this article. The 60% +/- refers to the war in Iraq, not the confidence in Bush. Regarding the amount of confidence:

Quote:
Only 23 percent said they had a great deal of confidence in the Bush administration's ability to protect U.S. citizens from future terrorist attacks, down from 38 percent in February.

Those expressing a moderate amount of confidence rose slightly to 38 percent from 35 percent, while those saying they had no confidence climbed to 17 percent from 10 percent in February.
Not that those are stellar numbers, but it isn't 60% having no confidence in him.

Well he basically was re-elected on the terrorism stuff, and the confidence is so low I would say it's overall confidence is low, I mean what the heck is positive now? He blew it with the Shaivo thing, the SS stance is not popular. I mean if the election were today he'd lose.

Well, I suppose it's all a matter of perspective. I hated the thought of going into Iraq in the first place and think we're trapped there now, but my husband, having fought in the first Gulf war, thought it was warranted and we should've ousted Hussein then anyway.

Bush has always made me a bit ill, I don't know if he could ever do anything to gain my approval 100%.

I'm really glad Arnie is in trouble too, I want him out next election. It's so embarressing to have him in there.

These figures tell a different story:
AP-Ipsos Poll results: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...000191_pf.html

Congress's ratings are even lower.

Since I have never had faith in his judgement there is no change, so I wonder why a large portion of the rest of the public is turning around?

Yeah I forget that he still had a minor amount of goodwill left from 9/11 at the election. Can we get these guys out of there, impeachment anyone? Actually somemembers of the House are doing things about the Downing memo's, but they aren't being covered much. Zoe Lofgren from CA called it high crimes and mistomeanors.

I mean the middle class is becoming more and more unattainable by those who want to move up.

All I have to say is "Don't blame me I voted for Kerry"
