Pepper's pic was just fine in height, but for some reason was showing at 38 KB. I optimized it in Photoshop, and now it's about 5 KB.
If you could just replace that one with this one, you're good. Also, is there a way to put the ticker beside the picture of Pepper? It would make it slightly smaller in overall height.

I moved the ticker for you.

It's a bit too big, Howard. The two pictures plus the two Cheshire cats = 31,154 bytes. The picture of the kittens is 10,620 bytes, so that would probably be the one to resize. Removing one of the Cheshire cats (9,091 bytes apiece) would also do the trick.

Here's the kitten picture resized to 5,922 bytes; I made it the same height as your other picture, and just reduced the dpi to 150:

Is my new sig visually too large? I tried to resize it to specs, but always have trouble with the words/names getting blurry by the time the sig gets posted here..
Does anyone have a trick for keeping the text clear with a smaller sig?

The dimensions are okay, but I'm getting a reading of 37,577 bytes. Only 30,000 are allowed. Why don't you lower the dpi a bit?
Here's a 24K (almost 25 KB) version, where you can read the words (only my fifth attempt at resizing it):

O.K., but if I redo the whole thing & save it at a lower dpi, won't the words be even blurrier, or will it improve? I think it's saved @ 72dpi. I hate to do alll that work, & try to choose a bold/big font, & the words are still blurry! Some people have such clarity in their fonts, how to they do it?

Try this one:

I just opened it in Photoshop, Saved for Web at 70% Quality which I think maintained the quality of the photo but reduced the size to 28KB instead of 37.

OK I have taken out MORE words in mine! If it was OK yesterday with the words IN it how is it now? Also how can my tiny sig be bigger than the photos I see? Are words bigger than photos? I'm SOOOOOOO confused!

I'm getting red x's on your photos currently. Is your hosting site down?

I would be willing to bet, Deb since it's "destinsportfishing.com"
! If it's on a local server I'd be willing to bet they don't have power right now.

So why can't I see HOW BIG MY SIG is when I can see all the one's with photos?

Which is bigger KB's or Bytes? and how many of the smaller ones are in a bigger one?

If you only have text, it won't possibly be over the 30 KB limit. The only thing you have to think about it the height, or ~1.5" in visual height. You can't get a real read on the properties of your signature as text because it isn't an image that has properties like that.

1 KB = 1000 Bytes
