It's been at least 20 years since I have had a female pregnant cat. My sweet baby is delivering this morning ... so far shes had 2.... I can feel at least another still in there. She delivered the last one almost 2 hours ago, and is definatly laboring but not pushing..

How long between deliveries?
Can she go hours between each one?
What can I do to help her?
Should I massage her belly?
Should I bring her some water, shes been in the same spot now for 3 hours?

Also, on the 2 that she has had she ate the placenta but left the top of it and the cord. I was reading a thread about helping clean the kittens, do I do this or give her some time to take care of it?

Im so proud of her... this is her first litter (and her last) and I can tell she is scared..

How long between deliveries?

It can vary but if she has been pushing for more than 20 minutes and not produced a kitten, it would be time to seek a vet's professional assistance.

Can she go hours between each one?

It isn't unheard of for them to go hours but it isn't common either.

What can I do to help her?

Just be there to observe and watch out for her.

Should I massage her belly?

If she lets you, that would be nice of you.

Should I bring her some water, shes been in the same spot now for 3 hours?

I am certain she would appreciate that.

Here is an article that might be of help to you ... scroll down to the Problems During Delivery section: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46743

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes.

She delivered the 3rd one.. How can I tell if she has any others in there? I felt her tummy and I dont feel the bulges like I did when they were all in there. Also, she decided to deliver under my sink in the cabinet. I tried taking the kittens and she grabbed them and took them back. I need to get her out of there when she is done. I have a mud room in my bedroom that is dark and never used. I would like to keep her there with the kittens so they are not disturbed.
