I have a friend who lives in W. V. who has this little sweetie showing up at her door very skinny and malnourished. She is in Kanawha Co and doesn't know of a no kill shelter or rescue, can anyone help? Her hubby has just lost his job and they can't afford to take it into the local shelter (which is high kill anyway)

The best thing is to go to Petfinder:

http://www.petfinder.com

There should be a option on the top to go to shelters and rescues. Click that button and select West Virginia. It should bring up all the rescues and shelters that are participating with Petfinder. On the rescue page it should state whether they are a no kill rescue. One warning however....most rescues will be limited admission and since many pull from high kill shelters, they may be full. It may be best to see if there is a vet office willing to take this cat and rehome it.
