I think it would be best to have her checked out by a vet just to be on the safe side. Also....I do hope you have a plan to keep her in an interior room in your home. Sounds like this was an unplanned pregnancy and it would be best to ensure that she has no opportunity to get back outdoors until her kittens are weaned and she is spayed.

she is a indoor cat and always has been she got out when one of the kids let the dog out. shes just turned a year old in may. she has been going in and sleeping in my bedroom in a laundry basket so i put the basket in my closet with one door shut she seems to like it there and it keeps her away from the kids and the dog even though i know they wont hurt her or the babies plan on getting her fixed after she is done nursing the kittens. shes just like one of the kids. she is a really great cat. i was just curious about her nipples being like crusty from like dried milk and if that was normal and is that a sign of her having the kittens soon?

I just found this...how many days has she had milk on her nipples if it has been a while...I still think a trip to the vet is a good thing:

Milk is normally present 1-2 days before delivery.

Also..the reason I recommend a room where she has no ability to get out is she will go back into heat fairly soon after she gives birth....so best to keep her from having the opportunity to get pregnant again by keeping her in a place where she has no access to the outdoors..even accidentally.

That's good....might be a good idea to set up your mom cat's spay appt. for 6 weeks from now so that she can be spayed when the kittens are weaned. Please make sure to keep her indoors with no access outdoors until she is spayed:
