Ualani's name is Hawaiian and means "Heavenly Rain". Rain is so precious in Hawaii because the Islands are thousands of miles from anywhere and surrounded by saltwater. So the only freshwater they have is what falls from the skies. Ualani is just as precious to us

Lily has to be the most contrary kitty. Hubby cooked her fish, cooled it, separated it into tiny pieces and checked it for bones. She wasn't interested....not in the slightest.....not even covered with little bits of Bonito. She likes her Hills dry food, the jelly that comes on cat meat (not the meat itself) and Bonito
. So the other kities will get a treat. We put some kitten food out, she licked the jelly off and scattered the rest as far across the floor as she could to separate it from the jelly

Awwww what a lovely meaning Ualani's name has!

Erm has Lily been picking up habits from Rosie?!. Rosie will not entertain fresh fish, chicken, turkey or even salmon!!.

I remember when she was spayed i went and bought her a small piece of cod thinking she would be starving, and like your hubby i cooled it off, checked it for bones and even broke it into smaller pieces for her, but would she touch it?, no way!, she just sniffed it also then walked away!!.

She's exactle the same with licking the gravy and jelly as well and just leaves the meat, but thats when i discovered Petite Pate

How incredible that they are the same! Petite Pate sounds very interesting. We are looking for something that we can give to Lily now and again just to vary her diet a little - I may look into this!

Beth it's excellent!. My two prefer the seafood one because it contains 70% more fish than other foods, but if you do buy it don't do what i did and pick out what i thought was bits of fat?, it was squid!!

I've also started giving them Marks and Spencers "Luxury" tuna and pilchard tinned foods which is in a lobster jelly if you please!
and theres huge chunks of fish in them

Yes i get mine from Morrisons, and of course M & S.

Do they eat better than me?, i'd say about the same
but i know a girl at work said they eat better than her and her two boys, especially when i say they get some grilled steak now and again!

Really happy to hear Lily is home safe and sound. In a few days she will have forgotten all about it. God, they can be picky eaters, can't they?

Yes they certainly can Jenny. The other kitties don't mind though - they got an unexpected treat today
. That is, if they don't mind Lily having licked the juicy bits off first
