Tomorrow our little girl will be spayed. I worry more with this one because she seems so small. I know that's a feature of her breed, but our other girls all seemed so much bigger and more robust at 6 months than Lily does at 10 months.

Her food will be withheld from 6pm tonight and she is due at the Vet's before 8.30 tomorrow morning. She will be having a midline spay as you do in the US and should be able to come home tomorrow afternoon, as long as everything is alright.

Any spare vibes for our sweet girl will be much appreciated.

If only we could explain it is for their own good! I hate it when they are in pain afterwards (usually not for long though) and you can only cuddle them (gently!). Good luck to Lily, I am sure it will all be fine.

Jenny and Susan thank you so much.

I have been explaining to her - I hope that somehow it works. She went through her first heat last week, it was horrendous, she lost weight because she didn't want to eat. I'm so glad it's over and now know that we have left it as long as we can for her to reach full size before spaying. With Singapuras they can be as old as 15 months before they start to call, so we wanted to give her as much time as possible. I have been telling her that Ingrid (her Vet) will be making sure she doesn't have to go through that again.

Rita, WeLoveEllie, Jcat, Xocats and Tracey - thank you so much
. Lily would send her thanks too if only she knew what we had planned for her.

I just know that all your good vibes will help her on the road to recovery

I suspect we'll be more of a mess than she will

Yeppers, when my girls went in - I do beleive it was me who needed the tranquilizers almost as much as they did.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
Beth has quite a hectic day ahead of her, so she may have not had time to check in yet, Susan.

Beth, you know my heart is with you and I'm praying for your baby girl! Look forward to hearing how wonderfully she has come through her procedure!

Folks - what can I say - you are wonderful. Thank you so much
.

I've just got home and given my little fur-baby the biggest cuddle. Hubby fetched her from the Vet's at 2.30. She did wonderfully. She has a lovely new bed to come back to and is trotting around the place quite happily. She's sitting in the window, next to me now, showing me her bare tummy for the first time.

She is allowed to have something light, so hubby has just gone to the store to get her some fish, she's had a little Bonito and was very happy with that
All last night she lay on my shoulder and I could hear her poor little tummy rumbling away - she must have been so hungry.

JaneMary I'll be sending little Elle lots of good vibes next week - I'm sure she'll do just fine
.

Ualani sends her thanks too - she didn't think the exams were a disaster, so that must be a good sign
