Ringworm

Hi all...WE are fostering kitties and the shelter gave us two kitties that have ringworm. They are going back to the shelter now since we cant risk it spreading to ourselves and our other three cats. They were isolated in another room for about 3 hours. Any suggestions or ideas on cleaning the room? Can ringwon live on floors, towels, etc?

I work in a shelter and have seen plenty of ringworm. Its not hugely contagious. The chances of you and your cats getting it after a few hours are remote, and it isn't dangerous. But, 1 part bleach to 9 parts water will kill it, just makes sure you rinse well. But its really not that big a deal.
