I have a pregnant cat. She is almost 2 years old. this will be her second litter. This litter was not planned & expected. Her first litter she 8 kittens all died except 1. They died all a week apart I dont know what from, but I was a hard thing to go thru. Well anyway Iam new here. I hope to have good news here in a few days on the new arrivals.
If someone could also help me with uploading picture to the forums.. ive been looking around & i want to put a pic of my kitty on here...

Chrissy...I believe there are different websites (like photo bucket) that you can join. You would have to have your pictures on a website in order to have them show here.

Since this was not a planned pregnancy and your cat lost almost all her kittens the last time, I would really suggest you keep her in an interior room with no access outdoors until she has had and weaned her kittens and can be spayed.

You can get her spayed after the babies are weaned, but she most likely will go into heat before then. Don't let her outside! (If she's in heat, she'll probably try to sneak out.)

Oh, how sad that 7 of her first litter died! I sure hope it goes better this time! Check out the posts at the top of the board for good information to know before she delivers.

You can get her spayed when the kittens are around 6 weeks of age. Cats that are intact will have the urge to return outdoors to mate. That is why it will be critical to keep her in a room where she will not be able to accidentally get out (my friend learned this lesson as her cat kept getting out and getting pregnant....6 times before she got her spayed). If you are concerned...you may want to place her and her kittens in a large wire dog crate. Make sure there is enough room for a litter box, food and a nursing box.
