Hello, I have a 10 week old kitten named Fez. Fez has a URI and is extremly under weight. Fez is starting to get better. The bad news is that my other kitten has started sneezing, i cant take the other kitten (Stash) to the Vet cause it is Sunday, but besides ocasional sneezing Stash is acting normal. Since Fez is finally on the road to recovery, if Stash does have a URI would that effect Fez's recovery at all? Should I put Stash in a seperate room if he does turn out to be sick? I'm just worried about Fez, he is so small and skinny, and now that he is finally feeling a little better I want to concentrate on getting him fattened up and 100% healthy. I would just hate it if Fez gets sick all over agian or doesnt fully recover b/c Stash gets sick. So what should I do? Thanks!

If I were you, I'd separeate them just in case. If Stash isn't sick, you don't wanna chance it. It's best if you just keep them separated for Stash's sake. I don't think Stash could make Fez worse, correct me if I'm wrong, anyone. I don't think it's likely.... possible, but not likely. Has Fez gone to the vet yet? If you call your vet tomorrow, they might just tell you to give Sash some of Fez's antibiotics, if so. They might... Dunno... you could call and see what your vet says. Good luck!

Glad to hear Fez is doing better but not good that your other kitten Stash seems to have gotten sick

I have had multiple kittens with URI and yes, they give it back & forth. It is probably best that Stash gets checked out at the vet and both possibly put on an antibiotic that will knock out the URI.

It could take some time before both have finally kicked-it. URI is contagious. You should be washing your hands after touching either kitten, it will help stop spreading it back & forth.

I would bring both kittens in to your vet. as soon as you can. Hope that helps.

Fez has gone to the Vets, twice so far, he has been on antibotics for about 10 days now. I'm gonna take Stash tomorow just incase.

I'm pretty sure Stash is sick, he had some discharge from his nose too. The thing I'm not sure about is, do I seclude Stash or Fez? Since Fez has been on antibotics for 10 days and is getting better do i let him have free roam of the house and put Stash in another room since he is just begining to get sick?

Sounds like a plan.

If you can seperate them without too much stress, yes, I would. The sneezing, dishcarge and all that good stuff will just keep transfering back & forth between these 2 little ones. Also, be careful of yourself.

I would hold my little ones close when they were sneezing with discharge and I ended-up sick. Better me than them I guess...such the trooper that I am
