I normally make them really good BUT today I went to grab some bread and it was moudly, I burnt the first bit of bacon and then undercooked the next bit, and the lettuce was a bit cold and I wasn't in the mood for tomato...sooo!

Right now I'm eating Tortellini & Smoked Chicken. I'll read you the label...

Filled pasta parcels combined with smoked chicken pieces and a creamy sundrided tomato and capsicum pesto sauce with a splash of white wine.

It's really yummy! kicks the BLT's butt!

It was dreadful, Sam. Fortunately, they mostly do LOTS better. Exception to every known rule, I guess.

However, hours have passed. And it's Friday on the homestead. Which means that the Chef gets to play.
And the market provided some lovely fresh wild BC sockeye salmon fillets. On the BBQ. With garlic new potatoes (see earlier thread). And snap peas. Followed by fresh local strawberries, accompanied by Rob's Orange Brandy. Moooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Goin to bed soooooooooooooooooon.

That does sound good, I could have ...oh...one bite and that's it <G>. Too bad you don't like seafood, the crab fritters (new recipe) turned out extremely well

Hey, Dan! Do you know this outfit

Apparently, some folks with connections thereto meandered around the world and landed up here in Vancouver, and started Cobs Bread and I gotta tell ya -- they're phenomenal!!!!! Their bread is awesome, and I swear this is one of those outfits of whom I would say, "There are NO mistakes in their counters!!"

I get the impression that there is more than a passing connection between the Aussie and the Canadian outfits -- it seems like "one big happy family" in many ways.

I made some blackforest cake yesterday and there was still a piece left over when I went for my midnight snack tonight. It was a little too filling for a midnight snack.
