For me I had a tower of biscuits out of my Nanas cupboard...lemon filled ones, gingernuts, toffee pops...Mmmm

Tonight I'm going around to my other Nanas for dinner. Can't wait to see what she is cooking!

Can ya tell I'm a food-a-holic?

I must say, I've tasted better.
Oh goodness!

I once was enjoying a delicious vanilla ice-cream cone, I dropped it on the kitchen floor and picked up without even thinking twice and continued eating it. Just as I was onto my second mouthful..I noticed it was rather crunchy. Turns out it has acquired a layer of kitty litter.

We had Frito Pie (corn chips, chili, cheese, chives, and sour cream).

I also bought my hubby a two-slice container of Snickers topped cheese cake for father's day. He doesn't know it's in the fridge yet, but I'm tempted... very temped...

Oh that Frito Pie sure sounds delicious!

But that snickers topped cheese cake. Heck, no wonder you are tempted!

Do you think you could slip me a slice or two?

I love your new signature, too!

I am very disappointed!
They seem to be mostly a Martimes thing, Ryan, and are around for only a very short time each spring. So it's not a big surprise that word hasn't reached Winterpeg. Lately we're getting some from northern BC, which makes them a little more accessible, but they are still gawdawful expensive. Good thing they're only around for a while, so one can justify a pigout or two!

And yes, healthy and all that, but you know,
they're enough alike in character and flavour to asparagus, that I could definitely see moderating all that "health" with a good dose of Hollandaise. I hadn't actually thought to do that until now, but I think the theory needs to be tested -- ya know?

Fiddleheads grow everywhere north of Virgina and even in Idaho! But you have to get the right one - they come from the ostrich fern. They are so very delish - even better than asparagus which is the closest flavour to them I think. In French, we call them Les tetes Violons bc that is what they look like.
