Yea I towel dried him and let him run around like that because he dries off quickly. Plus it was pretty warm inside so he was definitly comfortable.

Awww...did he put up might of a fight then?

mmmm....and I have all this too look forward to when we give Tara a bath for the very first time. I have never bathed a cat before, but she gets so mucky and is not good at cleaning herself!

Got any tips?

don't fill the tub even half way full fill it up just enough to where it goes just a bit over the legs. i wouldn't recommend dumping water with a cup I usually just stick joey underneath the faucet. Hold them by the back of the neck GENTLY at all times. When I'm lathering the soap i make him stand on his two hind legs and hold him by his two front paws. He does fight a little but not too much. I almost made it out of the bathroom dry this time but he tried to jump out once so yeah.
the first time i gave him a bath i actually took him out of the tub to put the shampoo on and put him back in to rinse off. You can do it either way i guess. I've also had it happen to where i didn't care if i got wet so i actually turned the shower on to rinse him off cuz he kept fighting with me.

That is some really good advice. What I do with Kitters, since I have to bathe her about two to three times a year with Hydrocortisone Shampoo, is put her in the sink... Much easier level for me and her and not so much room to get scared. I fill it to just above her "ankle" on her back leg and I actually do use the cup. I have a towel on the side of the sink and have her front paws on that holding them in place.. Nicely... and one big thing I do with her is I talk to her the whole time soothingly and tell her what a good job she is doing. It seems to calm her down. I stay pretty well dry and don't get scratched!

I too talk to Joey but it doesn't settle him down. He has never scratched me tho. Once we're all done I tell him what a good boy he is.

Awww, poor Joey, he definitely doesn't look thrilled in that picture! He certainly looks cute, though!
