Need help to socialize a feral kitten

I need help to socialize an all black kitten. He was born within our feral colony about 9 weeks ago. I have been going out and trying to get near him, but I don't have much time. I was wondering if I caught him if there was anyone on Long Island that is experienced with this sort of thing, and has the time to socialize him, who could take him and then try to find him/her a home. With our indoor cats and the outside feral colony we are a bit overwhelmed at the moment as I am currently not working. We don't have a spare room to put him in. Due to the recent death of his brother/sister outside and the disappearance of two of our ferals, I want to give him the chance to be adopted into a loving home. Of course, that's once we get him away from his overprotective mama!
