ok, i should be mad/sad about the kitten.... im more mad that she bred a normal sized male with a mini female... if that mini female has normal sized kittens it could kill her. (or so i was taught in biology during our genetics chapter)

-This person is breeding obviously genetically inferior cats, and naming them "miniature cats" does not make them a "breed". Who knows what kind of health problems these cats face?
-She plans to sell these kittens on the internet??
-That poor kitten. The most infuriating part of the article was, and I quote, "Everybody is totally amazed that this thing exists". Thing? Its a kitten. A living, breathing being...not a thing!

What a horrible woman. That poor little kitten. I can't imagine what kind of life he or she will lead. I remember reading a post once where someone linked to a cat anomoly website. Apparently this isn't too uncommon. I can't believe she's going to keep breeding these cats with the potential of more kittens developing this way.

And it is a sad fact of life that there is a market for animal oddities! I understand a tiny cat would be cute, but do you breed to the point of deformity? Give me a nice alleycat any day. Or even a purebred who hasn't been inbred within one line. But not a freak created by stupidity!

Oddly enough, my husband and I saw a two-headed calf on a local farm years ago. I have no idea if it survived, but it was a few weeks old at the time we saw it.
