HI everyone I posted here, didn't know where to post this. I live in an apt. building with my 2 cats. I have a neighbor ( in another apt building) about 20-30 feet away. She has something like 15 cats in a 3 bedroom apt. For the past 4 months she has been letting 2 cats out because there is no room in her apt, and some of the cats have issues. One of the cats is a very pretty female(fixed
), who is a beauty, but seems outside more than inside. This female cat knows I feed a male cat who is feral and has taken up residence outside my building and sometime outside my door. My other 3 neighbors are not animal people and I am worried I will get in trouble because of this cat. I don't want to take her to a shelter because she will be destroyed and I can't find her a home , unless one of you want a pretty tabby ?
. Should I talk to the owner of the cat? We are on friendly terms, but I am afraid if I bring up this subject our friendliness will end. any ideas? cat...

I've moved your thread to our Caring for Strays and Ferals forum, where you should get a lot of advice on your problem.

I would bet that if you talk to her with a cheerful tone of voice she won't become upset. For example (in a happy voice) say, "Your cat is just the sweetest cat in the world. She is always over here visiting and I just love her being here. (and then with an "I'm going to tell you a secret look" and a little bit of a whisper, say) You know these people who live over here in this building hate cats and I'm kinda scared that they are going to hurt her. (then in a happy voice again...like you just had this idea for the first time). You know, this cat is so wonderful that I'll bet I could find a home for her that would get her away from these jerks around here...but..ooh...could you stand to not have her any more? She is soooo sweet after all?"

Its a bit manipulative, but with the right tone of voice and enlisting her in the conspiracy to get the cat away from the evil neighbors
she just might go along with it.

). I live in a two bedroom apt with two kids 2 cats and my husband and myself. For hurricanes we have to evacuate and it is hard finding an hotel for 2 cats forget about three. I do not work and can't afford any more animals, and plan one day to move out of state and could not take another one with me. I would take her if I could, but can't , she is a doll, but i would need a house in a safe area. Does anyone know of a house that is for free? lol thanks for the advice. Cat.
