i would have to say, Sara goes bonkers over and kind of rubberbands. I never see her so excited or so playful as when she finds one. It is the funniest thing in the world to watch. I never see her move so fast or be so protective over any of her toys.

I was just curious what others cat's favorite non-cat toys are??

Definitely guitar picks. My husband has a bowl of them in all different shapes and sizes (he has several guitars, and plays different styles, hence the different types of picks), and Jamie loves to bat them around and hide them under the rug, etc.. We ask him if he's been playing with "Daddy's claws" again!

Straws, they love those drinking staws. They got absoultly nuts with them

Its very cute but you have to keep an eye on them to make sure they are ok and take them away when they get too chewed and it becomes dangerous.

But they do have lots of fun with them, you should see eviecat walking along with a pink straw in her mouth...so cute

I also forgot to mention on the jugs of milk, the plastic ring around the top, yea, those are fun to watch them play with as well.

Tailer has a really weird obsession with rubber bands. He goes bonkers if he can get his paws on one. We don't let him play with them because I'm afraid he'll swallow it and get sick. (And if he doesn't swallow it I KNOW Forest will.) But if there's one ANYWHERE in the house he'll find a way to get at it.

yep, i know what you mean. i am so scared sara will swallow one, so i dont let her leave my sight when she has one, or i will just hold on to it and tease her with it. but she does find them at night and i will wake up in the morning and she will be sitting on my pillow or on the floor next to the bed chewing on it...

For some of my cats, their favorite non-cat toys would be ME!
Sometimes they LOVE to jump on me and use me as a cat tree or trampoline to leap from onto another surface or on another cat.

Some LOVES drinking straws, milk rings, and bottle tops...

Vash likes the plastic rings from milk jugs.

Spaz likes tinfoil balls and my drum sticks.

Trouble isn't much into toys at all, nor is Shadow, they prefer to torment each other.

Cassi loves string and Ivory, since she can't see well, likes anything that makes noise.

My dog loves cardboard papertowel tubes and junk mail

Garfield likes trash. He likes to stand next to the trash can and check for food of course, but if there is clear crinkly paper he will pull it out to play with. Not a very safe toy!

Also straws. They love to knock the kids drinks over, if left on the table, and drink it if it is milk or water. Then they chew on the straws.

He also pulls magnets off the fridge to beat up. I have a few that aren't flat, they are like little stuffed animals, or layers of felt. Took me a while to figure out how they "fell" off and got knocked away from the area. Then I saw him in action.

Of course his most favorite toy is Festus. Yesterday she was trying to use the covered litterbox, and he sat on top and batted at her, so she batted back. Another "Aha" moment, that explains why I have so much litter tracked out of the box!

My hair! Can't take a nap without my head being attacked. What would they do if I cut my hair? They also love these cheap plastic containers I have. Zipper pulls and my smaller laundry items too.

Cosette's philosophy is she'll play with everything at least once
. She and Eponine BOTH love those plastic rings off of milk jugs (obviously very popular for kitties!).
I have a calendar with daily pages that you tear off. I always roll the paper into balls. Cosette loves to bat the balls all around the apartment...Eponine likes to rabbit kick the paper balls and then shread up the paper
.

How about cardboard boxes of any shape or size? Or the Sunday newspaper, thrown on the floor to slide around on, hide under, and shred? Big paper bags are a lot of fun, too.

laser pointers, straws, pipe cleaners, socks, anything with feathers (including my feather dusters), milk rings, empty tp holders, EACH OTHER, my hands (when playing "kill the mouse" under a blanket!), strings on jackets, shoe laces, weird bits of sunlight that dance on the wall (Zorro is mesmerized by dappled sunlight), spiders that enter our house and suddenly realize there are 6 predators living there, newspapers laid out flat on the carpet, and ANY size and ANY type of BOX.

Everything's game!

If it moves...it's a toy...if it doesn't move...it's a toy. Shoelaces (of course only when I'm trying put my sneakers on), straws, paper bags, cardboard boxes, toilet paper is a biggy around here...very cute (ha ha) when they unroll it to the floor with their little mittens...bugs, my son's action figures...and oh yes, my beautiful spider plant which now looks very sick since whole parts of it are mysteriously turning-up around the floor area

my MIL's cats get boxes FULL of craft tissue.
And one of her cats has laid claim to a huge, plastic salad bowl
