Our little blue girl is home

She's very afraid, I let her out in the bedroom with the door shut and she's under the bed... just like Mika, spent his first night balled up beside the Select Comfort air pump.

I didn't want to bother her too much, so I just took this one of her with the zoom:

And then Mika was catterwalling outside the door, so I thought he must want to use his potty... which is in the bedroom so we need to figure out something else & quick. I let him in, and it didn't take him long to figure out there was a stranger under the bed:

They stared at each other for a short bit, batted at each other a time or two, and I figured that'd better be it for today so I pulled Mooey out and closed the door to let her be for a bit.

She's so pretty, dainty, and her meow isn't like a Siamese, not like Mika at all... very "normal cat"-ish
She only took a few minutes to come-a-sniffin' me while at the breeders, so I'm certain she'll be a lovey doll as soon as she feels comfortable with the house. I walked out into the living room with her when I first took her out and she was scared to death of the vaulted ceiling!!! She was raised in a small apartment so it's quite a change!

Her breeder named her Holly Berry (she was born on Christmas), but we'll likely change that to something Native American (like Mika) or Alaskan... husband, oddly enough, is both and loves the names.

Yay! Although it's like reliving Mika's homecoming (which was as stressful on us as it was him, because we wanted him to be comfortable sooooo badly), we're happy to have her and can't wait until she's made herself part of the family too!

Concatulations! I LOVE the second picture! I am so happy you got this beautiful girl. I feel for her, being so worried about a new home. Lucky she has good parents who will give her the time she needs.

It has been fun to follow this thread!

Horay, you got her and she is home :-), I can't see the first picture, but I will be anxiously awaiting all upcoming photo shoots. I am sure she will settle in just fine, just take her a bit is all. Congrats and best wishes with your new meezer baby.

SHE'S SOOOOO SWWEEEEETTTT!!!

She's still hiding under the bed, Mika has been establishing his Alpha role aggressively, but not too violently, although he has pounced on her a time or two. But if you go to the edge of the bed and call her, out pokes her little blue nose and she'll come right over and rub on you... until Mika pounces on her out of jealousy... LOL

She'll be a snuggle bug by the end of the weekend! I can't wait!

She'll be out exploring in no time at all. Siamese are very inquisitive, and often rather "bold". The best description of Siamese I've ever heard was, "They're the beagles of the cat world - sociable, bold, and communicative!"

That they are... but little Holly's meow sounds more like a chirp! It's the weirdest thing!

Here's some photos we took tonight once she wasn't as bashful:
Holly's Photo Album

When we came home, I closed the door and she came right out and flopped, rolled, purred, and hugged all over the place. I think she was in withdrawal! What a lovey kitty she is. I had forgotten how much Moo Cow had grown until her... now it's like Moo and Mini Moo! Mika was far more timid than she is. It took him over two full days of me being in the room with him for him to get to that point... and at least one full day before he'd sniff into the hallway, where she was within hours... but she's still afraid of the vaulted ceiling and big TV!!!

I figured out the dynamics here. Mika has been trying to be friends with her (while keeping a close watch that she's not stealing his thunder). He has attempted to clean her several times... but she is the aggressor, not him! She swats him until he gets mad and pounces on her, and then he runs away. He seems very frustrated. Poor Moo! A pretty little friend to play with and she won't let him near her!

They'll be such cuddle bugs together once she gets to know him!

What a little beauty she is!! I'm sure she's just a little freaked out by the kitty she doesn't know, but once she's gotten to know Mika I bet they will be great friends.

Oh, she's crawling all over the house already! LOL! They're loosening up a lot. Right now, they're peacefully sharing the ghetto cat tree. Last night was another story:

But it's okay, he decided to share his tree after all:

They're so cute!
