Hi all. I used to volunteer at a cat shelter and needless to say, I just spent $450 to de-flea my apt.
I have gotten bit but so far my cats haven't. We are speculating that I brought home the eggs and they just hatched. I want to get a topical flea medicine for the cats. Is there any brand in particular that is better? Advantage, frontline, hartz??? I won't get the collars as they say they are poisonous. Thanks for the input.

Please do not use Hartz flea products, they are more dangerous IMO that flea collars. I personally really like Advantage for my animals. You could also use Revolution or Frontline (in the US). Program is good for long term flea control but if you want to use it I would use it with one of the other products for the first couple of months.

Thank you both so much for your quick responses. I was looking towards frontline to begin with so I guess I will go with that product. Again, thanks.

I use advantage on all my cats even my ferals. I have a cat that is allergic to everything and she hasn't had any problems.
