For the past two weeks, approximately, my AOL pop-up blocker (I think?) has been meowing whenever it blocks, and it's driving Jamie absolutely crazy. I used to get the sound of a screeching door, which he ignored. I can't figure out how to change the sound, or whether I even can. When I check under "settings", the only sound available is a "whoosh".
Before I get in touch with AOL, I thought I'd better ask - does this have anything to do with my having the TCS ads turned off? I'm usually logged in here whenever I'm on line, so perhaps the computer is meowing for that reason?

Not having AOL or its pop-up blocker, I don't have any practical suggestions for you, but I just wanted to commiserate with Jamie. I know how perplexed my lot get whenever I find one of those cute animations that meow! Poor Jamie! Where's the kitty, eh?

Click on Options at the top of your address bar. Then click on the More tab, then at the bottom of the page uncheck checked box for playing sound when blocking pop-ups.

Hope this helps.
