I don't like how this cat site stuff is searchable on google. In fact I feel like I have to be very careful all the time because anyone wanting to grab some dirt on me can just search my name and find it
Its very embarrasing actually.

Well with a name like Karen Sylvia, I had to do the advanced search for exact phrase. Sylvia is a very common Portuguese last name in this area. There were 2 that were actually from me for when I had a few photos posted on the Mount Washington Observatory website. My favorite is the one from a few towns over that was busted for drug possession. I remembered when this happened a few years ago because people brought the article into work to show me. At least she is 8 years older than me, so most people reading it woudl realize it wasn't me! I will have to try my maiden name.

I don't have many-one about Garden Club, a local newspaper article about women beer drinkers (!!!!) and of course a few articles when Sheba was shot. My last name is pretty unusual so not to many posting out there.

Well... I suppose I should be proud to say that I didn't find any other Beth Claggs but then again I didn't find myself either. lol. I looked up my maiden name too... nothing interesting there. However when I googled hubbys name I found a website that he made when he was in college about some project he was doing... and also our wedding announcement!! lol

Yep- and that's when I found some of my articles and poems had traveled without my permission.

You can also go to www.boardreader.com and search for your user name- nothing is private on the internet!

I have done it on Yahoo! Search, MSN Search, and Google. It's fun to see what different sites pop up.

As I looked at each entry with my name, I found an article written about me giving a presentation to the World Bank (wasn't aware of the article!) AND I found out that there's one entry with my office address and campus map! GEE.
NOTHING is private anymore..

There's 693 for me. Apparently there's a Mary Katherine Peters who is an actress and it looks as though I've also been a literary character as well as a 3rd class passenger on the Titanic!

As for things taht actually pertain to me, there's an Ormond Beach City Commission Meeting agenda from 2001 when the Sunsations (my high school dance team) won nationals and were being given keys to the city! I can't believe that' still up there.
There's also an agenda from the Daytona Beach City Commission Meeting where we were "recognized." This line from it made me laugh: "He [Mayor Asher] wants all the people in the audience to get a look at these beautiful ladies while they are facing them because they are going to get them to turn around so the Commission can enjoy them."
I remember one of the commission members made another girl and I high-kick for them so they could see what it was all about. It doesn't seem like 4 years ago already, that's for sure!!!

I also found a guestbook entry I made in 1997!!!!

That was fun.

Except for one staff member at some midwifery institute, there are no matches for my name. The rest of the results I found had 2 people in a list, one with my first name, one with my last name. I put in my middle name and nobody came up with the same name. I'm unique

I searched for 'Samantha Pratt' and it returned with 198,000 results!

I'm searching through the webpages at the moment this is what it said on one!

Samantha Pratt has more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry and five years experience in mortgage lending, most recently as a loan officer at Synovus Mortgage Corp. Also a graduate of Fayette County High School, she resides in Riverdale.

I haven't found anything about me personally, thank goodness!

I just tried that with your real name and I see it too! WOW! It was lost in the TCS down time, but now I can read some of the pages since they are cached in google!

The only thing that came up on me was my Grandpa and Uncle's obituaries

Other than that I got married in 1836 to a guy named John Henry

I have done it before and found out there was this woman in California with my name- I live by Chicago- like 3000 miles away. Funny thing is that she is an eventer- a rider- as am I, so when I order stuff from certain catalogs I have to specify which of the two I am!
Has anyone ever checked out the website Zaba.com? Its scary because it lists a bunch of your previous addresses and stuff for common knowledge. Don't know if its international, but I know is nationwide in the US.
