I love roller coasters! I have only been to Carowinds but they have this awesome ride - the Borg Assimiliator - it rocks! It feels like you are flying and I just love that feeling!

Hopefully, hopefully we will be going to Six Flags over Georgia before I go. We shall see!

Same here... I refuse to go on the Mean Streak because of that reason. Gemini isn't so bad if you're racing the other car.

Have you noticed how bored the ride attendents look... haha

I'm not a big rollercoaster fan. In fact, I'm too terrified to even step foot on one. I don't like not having control.

I love amusement parks!
I've been to Hershey Park in PA, Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ and Dorney Park is the closest to me in PA. I used to go on any ride, even the one that holds you upside down but I can't tolerate them anymore now that I'm older and a little more fearful of things. I stick to the simple ones now, but I always enjoy going to amusement parks and hope to this summer.

My mom and I used to go to Hershey Park every summer when we'd drive up to PA (visiting friends), then continue to NY (visiting family)! I loved the town of Hershey so much. The factory tour was the best!!

Here... or There... Hmmm
I like a lot of the rides and will go on most, but I am scared of the wooden coasters... I like the cork screw thats fun but I don't get to go to many amusment parks very often so I guess it doesn't really matter much......

Yes, I enjoyed the tour too, and the town is very beautiful. I haven't been to Hershey Park in quite sometime, I would love to go there again someday and enjoy some chocolate too!

Awww, the "woodies" as they are called among coaster enthusiasts are the best. To me, steel coasters, even though they are smoother, do not fully capture that true coaster experience, but I love all coasters, wood or steel. Woodies just have that great shake, rattle and roll experience and of course, a true coaster fan will even say they they smell good too. The smell of the wood combined with the coaster greese just add to the overall ride experience, not to mention that wonderful clackity clack sound as the train climbs the lift hill. Mean Streak is a true wooden coaster, but Gemini is NOT a wood coaster, it is actually classified as a steel coaster. Here is the difference. A coaster is classified by the TRACK the train rides on and not the structure. Mean streak has a wood structure and a wooden track. Gemini has a wood structure with a steel tubular track, so the ride experience is like riding a steel coaster. The Comet at the Great Escape and the Coney Island Cyclone in New York are 2 examples of coasters with a steel structure, but they have wood tracks. So, they are classified as wood coasters. Some people will not ride a coaster because they will say, did you see how the structure moves when the train goes by? This is normal and MUST happen, otherwise the structure would fall apart. So any movement you see in a coasters structure is nothing to worry about. It is more or less like a built in shock absorber for the ride's structure. Just a bit of coaster education if anyone was interested

I love going on rides, but I hate roller coasters, ferris wheels, & sky rides. Can you tell I'm afraid of heights, lol? I like the super fast spinning rides that make you dizzy & water rides. The only roller coaster I've ever gone on is the runaway train at great adventure bc it's not very high up and even that scares me!!!!

I live not to far away from Santa Claus, Indiana. They have pretty neat amusement park there. It's called Holiday World. It's pretty cool. I've been to Ceder Point in Ohio.. I love that one.. The roller coasters were awesome! I've been to Six Flags in Atlanta, Georgia. I like it too! I've also been to Carowinds in North Carolina I also went to Hilton Head Island, SC and they have a pretty neat inside amusement park. Let's just say I love the thrill rides... And I defanitly love roller coasters!

Anyway, I personally like roller coasters. That is one good thing about central Florida - a theme park with a good roller coaster is never far away. In Tampa, Busch Gardens has 4, and a brand new one just opened up.

Disney World (and every other attraction there) in Orlando have lots, too.

Once my best friend and I did a spur-of-the-moment weekend trip to Atlanta just to go to Six Flags and ride the coasters there.

Lots of fun!

How could I have forgotten Holiday World! I have a bunch of discount coupons for that place, in case anyone wants them. They have a great coaster there- scary and traditional, no bells and whistles.

I hate the Mean Streak! That is one wooden coaster I can't stand. It hurts! It just isn't worth the bruising to me. I've heard they've made some changes to it to make it less painful, but Nate says it still beats the crap out of you.

i absolutley love every kind of ride that there is... unfortunatley, because of my boob-size(pre-surgery) i couldnt ride anything that had that over the shoulder saftey things... they couldnt get them in the locked position because my chest stuck out to far... and unfortunatley i coudlnt move them to the side or anything....

that was embarrassing

I had no idea large breast could cause such a problem.
