Do You Sing To Your Cat?

Okay. I'm coming out of the closet...a big YES to I sing to my cats.

Each of one of my spoiled fuzzy faces has a special song just for them:

Ashley - "Sugar Pie Ashley" - The Temptations
Buster - "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Buster" - Neil Diamond
Allie - "Allie Cat" (in place of Alison) - Elvis Costello
Bob - "Bobcat" (in place of Barbara Ann) - Beach Boys

My husband insists I have too much time on my hands but I even have most of these songs lyrics completely reworded just for my little babies.

I don't have a great voice but they love when I sing their songs to them.

Anyone else want to come out of the closet?

I confess! I sing to my Lucky whenever she's having cuddle time with me. She doesn't care what the words are, the melody is usually to whatever song pops into my head or from a lullaby. I have a terrible voice too...but Lucky never complains!

I sing to them, I talk to them, I ask for their opinions, I tell them about my hopes and dreams.................



I really need to get a life. =P

I speak to my cats in Italian sometimes now. Sometimes they even understand me.

me too!

I sing to villy, and when there's a gap in my singing, she adds in her own line! She sings back to me! I talk to her too.

Well, seeing has all of you have come clean I might as well too *grin* I used to sing just for the joy of singing, then would turn around and there would be a miniature cat audience behind me I sing to all of my cats, and they gather round and rub against my hands and face (sometimes giving me a mouthful of fur ) And I especially sing to Tehya's babies when they're being noisy and getting ready to go to sleep... I start singing and they quiet down, and by the time I'm done they are usually asleep

I would not want to hurt my little boy's ears with my singing. I talk to Sash ALL the time though!

I sing made up songs to Dexter & Sadie every day. They love it. No one else does.

i use to sing my Bushee lullabys when i was 4 or 5

I don't sing to them but I do purr and meow like a momma cat. I even hiss at them sometimes to show I'm not happy with them. Hmmmmm, maybe I'm a cat

I sing things to my cats about them with there names - Like
OH CHUCKY YOUR SO FINE - YOUR SO FINE - YOUR SO FINE - OH CHUCKY If I hear something on the radio I will add the kitties name into the song some how.. And Yes my hubby things I have too much time on my hands too - He has actually looked at me and said " YOUR BAKED" hahahahahaha

oh yes and they are the only one's who don't complain!

i sing this to bonnie sometimes, it's her favorite 'oh where oh where has my bonnie cat gone, oh where oh where can she be, oh where oh where has my bonnie cat gone, she's supposed to be with me, with me, she's supposed to be with me' silly i know but she loves it

i meow at bonnie all the time and she answers back, we have long conversations like that, with pandy, i pur and it makes her get moochier and purr more loudly

I have always sung to Fred, and he loves it. I hold him and sing to him, and he purrs and gives me kisses. A few days ago, I was watching a tv show with vintage music clips, and was singing along with it. Pepper kept coming up and looking at me, meowing, and patting her paws on the bed. I can't decide if she liked it or not. Scooter and Pearl just look at me funny.

My kitties have never done anything nasty enough for me to sing to them
