1. What are your favorite gems? Umm, all of them? Based on favorite pieces of jewelry, I guess they would be chaorite, citrine, rutilated quartz, sodalite, and lapis lazuli. There are just so many beautiful and unusual ones out there. I want them all!

2 Have a favorite vacation spot? Anywhere! Mom and I have had to be really tight with the budget and have not even been able to take weekend jaunts to gem and mineral shows. I did enjoy the family vacation to the Shenandoah Valley back in 1973.

3. Read any good books lately? No, I spend too much time at TCS!

Oops. The gem is spelled Charoite!

Q#1 What time do you wake up in the morning? Depends on whether my bladder or Aristotle wants attention first.

Q#2 What time do you go to sleep at night? Usually between 10Pmm-11PM.

Q3#What is your favourite chocolate? Whatever I can get my hands on!

Right now I could go for a Lindt milk chocolate truffle.

I know you love genealogy. How far have you gone back in your tree and who was the last relative you have that came to the US and when? With help from a distant cousin I have my Bond line back to the late 1600's. My ggg-grandfather Bond is also the last I know to arrive in the USA - circa 1838. I do know all lines were in the USA by 1850.

What do you love to do most to relax? Play with a kitty!

Has it been hot and humid enough for you the past few days? Let's just say that if I don't have to be outside in it, I'm not!

Has all that construction in Newburgh been a royal pain for you? Not really. Now if I had to commute daily... The road improvements are about 20 years overdue.

What's the silliest rock question that a child has ever asked during one of your school presentations? I don't think any of their questions are silly! I always tell them there are no stupid questions. Which reminds me, I have to talk to some scouts this Thursday and next.

Do you and your mom plant a vegetable garden and, if so, what do you plant? No, no veggie garden. Just the daylilies and a few other flowering plants. The last garden we planted only provided a buffet for the local wildlife.

What's your favourite comfort food? Do you make it? or is it someone else's treat for you? Gee, just about everything I put in my mouth is a comfort food!

But the other day Mommy made me a bologna sandwich and I regressed about 40 years! They just taste better than the ones I make.

What's your favourite celebration food? Do you make it? or is it someone else's treat for you? That would be sis' lasagna or taco salad. Yes I can make them, but I like it better when she makes them.

What's your favourite dessert? Do you make it? or is it someone else's treat for you? Anything sweet and fattening and usually made of chocolate!

Do you cook? Do you like to? Would you rather eat someone else's efforts? or go out? Where? Yes, I can cook, have been since I was about 4 years old. Mom helped me made Dopey's Breakfast Biscuits from my Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs cookbook. Mom never denied me access to her kitchen. I like to cook; I hate having to cook when I don't want to. Lately I have been very lazy and would rather nuke something or go out or eat someone else's efforts. There are few places I don't like to eat. Big celebration favorite is to take mom to Red Lobster. She eats her faves and I the Cajun Chicken Alfredo. (I'm not fond of seafood.)

YAY JAN! , ok here are the first set of questions

1. Were you born in Indiana, and if you could go/live anywhere, where would it be? Yep, born and bred and raised here. I've yet to find another place to live but would like to give Hawaii a try.

2. What is your favorite food? That's like asking to name my favorite cat! So many choices!!

3. What is your favorite drink? Okay, this one is better. I like root beer! buuuuuurp!

Now it's rosiemac's turn.

1. Do you have a website for the gems you sell? No, sis has sold most of what I made through her store she had a couple of years ago. Others I have donated to the lapidary society to sell at our annual show.

2. Who spoils the new kitten the most, you or your mum? I think he came pre-spoiled! Lately he has been spending most of his time with me so I guess I'm the guilty one.

3. Your given a choice of either Kippers or steak to eat, which do you prefer? Steak, medium well, not too fond of fish.

4. Do you like bubble baths? Yes, I did when I was younger. Haven't had one since we installed a shower back in 1990.
