When I was a kid, we had this big ole' tom cat named Tom that my parents fed Meow Mix to. One day I tried it, it was pretty bland although a little salty. Not too bad though. Beyond that I haven't tried any more nor would I want to but I figure if it's good enough to feed my babies it can't hurt me to eat it.

My brother used to try every food given to our dog when he was a kid. He said it was to be sure the dog wasn't poisoned! Even ate a charcoal biscuit!

Not me, ugh!

I'm always the spoiler when someone starts a "have you tried pet food?" thread.
Cats and dogs have very acidic stomachs among animals and especially when compared to humans, so they can break down bacterias at levels that we simply cannot. Therefore, pet food quality standards are extremely low even among "high quality" pet foods. I would never try pet food. The chances of you getting helicobacter pylori or numerous other bacteria problems are extremely high.

I haven't tried any cat food, but I did once try a tiny bite of my old yorkie's dog cookie! It wasn't that bad either

BUT- I wouldn't try any wet or dry cat food, ICK!

I tasted one of the Merrick's flavors the other day. It smelled like salmon, and it tasted like salmon.

I said yes, but that was in the 4th grade. Don't remember exactly what it tasted like but I haven't had any since so it must not have been that good.
