I would be freaking out totally , I have never been on a big plain, NO WAY.. Yet I would still take just a book and some headphones as you mentioned the babies
will be with you. I know its easier said then done but just think of lots of positive things, read your book rest your eyes and smile cause you are doing a wonderful thing for your babies

I just flew this December to Ireland after not having flown for 12 years. I was terrified, but it really wasn't that bad. The flight over was a little bumpy which scared me a little, but the 7 hours back was fine. You really should try to get a window seat because it was amazing to see everything below. I am sure you will be fine. Good Luck to you and the kitties!

If you like roller coasters you have nothing to fear! I can't go on those things or on any ride that spins me around.

What a wonderful thing your doing! I think that's great. Have you met your on-line friend before? Is he/she from the Cat Site? Your babies are very lucky to have you care enough to go with them. I had a dog once a while back flown up here by himself from Florida. His owner had passed, and his daughter asked my best friend is she would take him. She did, so Bozo got put on a plane and we picked him up in Cleveland.

As for flying, you will find out it's not so bad. My very first flight is when I went to Hawaii! A 12 hour trip! The time goes so fast! And my favorite part is the take off. I was scared to death, which is normal, so just sit back, relax, and do your best to enjoy the experience. It took me about 6 hours into the flight to actually look out the window, but once I did, I couldn't take my eyes off the scenery!

Let us know how it goes!

I'd be nervous too, but if it were me I wouldn't want those babies to travel unattended either!

If you haven't yet asked, call them back and find out - you will want them in the cabin with you. I had to sedate Sebastian for the trip as I had no way to comfort him (and he was a 2 year old feral that I had only been working with for a few months at the time).

You will also want to determine if you need a health certificate for them to travel with you. I had to get one for Sebastian.
I already spoke with the airline. I did all of that before i Booked the ticket. They have their own little ticket awaiting them at the desk when we go
so they are booked on the flight too..Carry on in the cabin with me. Thats the whole reason I am going on the flight.

And yup. We have our appointment on July 1st for Health Certs

i agree window seats are best.. if you feel kind of sick my dad (past piolate) told me to look out at the horizon, never the seats areound your or anything. Looking out the horizon i think will trick your mind into thinking that the world is stable and you are what is shaking, inted of everything and everyone shaking around you.

also there is the roller coaster feeling when takingoff, kitties arent used to that give them lots of extra loving, and padding in their containrs so they dont get squished up against something hard when they take off.

and for info...i know you said you dont like taking meds but there is non drowsie dramamine too...may want to have it on hand just incase

and sprite or gingeale helps :-)

Thanks..I do like roller coasters so maybe they will work for me, LOL.. I plan on lineing their whole grate with their fleece snuggles..so that should make them very happy
and they will get lots of loving and comfort from me.

Boy oh boy..the count down begins.
