My boyfriend took one of the kittens that my cat, Tinkerbell, had. He called me just a few minutes ago and said that the kitten has a rash that goes from the tip of his tail down towards his bottom and that some spots are slightly bloody. Is it possible that the kitten has heat rash? His apartment stays warm since he has no A/C. Or could it be fleas, my bf has been planning to get flea meds on tuesday for the kitty. It just makes me sad that my little kitty has a rash like that.

Well, it could be numerous things... most likely fleas if no other contanct has been made with any other cats... otherwise is could be mange, scabies, or something. Has he been dewormed? It could be from him having worms and dragging his bum on the floor, which is a sign of worms. Good luck!

He's been dewormed and the only contact the kitten, his name is Big Ears Mcgee....you'd understand if you could see how big his ears are, anyhoo...the only contact ears has with other cats is his momma, Tinkerbell. Im hoping its just the fleas getting to him and that its not something serious. Someone told me to put neosporin on the rash...is that safe to use on a kitten?

No it isn't and the kitten should see a vet to be properly diagnosed. Please tell your boyfriend NOT to flea treat this kitten without a vet knowing about it first. If he buys something over the counter, it could further damage or injure this kitten.
