A couple of years ago, my sister bought two ferrets. She was supposed to get one male, one female, but ended up getting two females. Anyway, she got them, then CJ and Billy's two brothers, Milo and Otis, and then some fish. She found that she just did not have time to spend quality time with all of them, so she decided to sell her ferrets. She had a coworker who's wife had always wanted ferrets... all her life, so she gave them to her for a reasonably cheap price. Well, they never paid her. About a month after they took them, she decided she didn't want them anymore, so my sister took them back. When she got them back... oohhhh, it was horrible!
First of all, they were SOO skinny! Their fur was hard as rock, they were STARVED for attention, by the looks of it they hadn't been let out of their cage at all
, their cage was DESTROYED, and their bedding reeked of cigarette smoke! On top of it all, they returned the food my sister gave them in a tuberware container... not so bed, right? Well, on top of the food was flea shampoo, and other CHEMICALS on top of it!
And... it was crawling with ROACHES!
My sister got her old cage out, a huge one, and put them in, and let them settle down some before she played with them too much. I am so glad she got them back! I don't know what would've happened if she didn't.... probably don't want to know. She now has more time on her hands and can spend some time with them. It just drives me nuts to see innocent animals in that type of condition. Okay... thanks for letting me vent... I'm done.
