Tomorrow Isabell and her babies go for their first adoption day. Isabell was a cat that my tenants left behind with her kittens of less than two weeks when they were evicted. They are almost 8 weeks now. They have the odds stacked against them because momma and three of the babies are black. Princess Laia is the only odd ball of the bunch, grey. Yoda will stay behind for the moment because he is too small. So wish Isabell Princess Laia, Luke, and Aniken best of luck finding new homes tomorrow.

ps - Yoda is also staying behind because he is the one who has stolen everybody's heart in the house.

Yes I think Yoda has found his forever home. I know everybody says kittens aren't ugly, but he was one "ugly" little kitten. All ears and eyes, skinny little legs and a barrel for a belly. He looks like "Yoda". His fur was real thin and now it is all different lengths. He has had problems eating, doesn't know when to stop and will make himself sick unless he is watched. He was and is one third the size of his littermates. They have all filled out and he still looks like a baby. But he is the one whose eyes light up when we come home. He is the first one to come running for attention. I didn't want to keep any of these guys as Yoda will make 14 but if my fifteen year old had her way they would all stay. And besides he has a foot fetish, he loves to bite toes.

ps - they are all stuck at my house until they find homes, so it is hard to say who else may eventually find their way into our cat family!

We had a kitten like that once, he was a Black persian and his name was 'Ugly' he looked like something from another planet - he has two dfiferent shaped eyes, and everything! He found a wonderful home though!

Best of luck to the Star Wars crew in finding good forever homes. It is always bittersweet to see them go, isn't it!

I love black cats, and hope you will get some people who love them, too.

I have to ask.. why dont people like black cats???

I myself prefer any cat except the ones that are "cow" colored (I love tuxedo though
)

I mean.. its not like people have "cat fights" and train black cats to fight.. like they do pitbulls which is why some people dont like pits..

but why black cats?

I love black cats. Isabelle is the closest thing I've had to a black cat, but I think they are beautiful!! I also think it's cute that you named the cats after Star Wars characters. Those are all good, powerful types of names for such little fighters!

perhaps the childhood "black cat crossing your path" thing just stuck with them...or maybe people are just more drawn to multi colored cats or white ones that look like angels
