Math Trick!!

Thread Starter
A fellow co-worker emailed me this today!!

Here is a math trick that will stump you. Personally I would like to know
who took the time to come up with this and why that person is
not running the county

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in
your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of you phone number (NOT
the area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?

Pretty cool huh!

Wow... neat. (=

We have 7 digit phone numbers, maybe if yours is different you won't get the same answer!

For some reason that took me a few tries before it came out right! Neat though!

LOL thats different! I agree Gail, who even has the TIME to come up with that?!?!

I love these things.

I especially like to figure out how it works (I'm such a geek!)

I'll try to see if I can make one up myself...
ok... here's a new one...

- take the first three digits of your phone number
- multiply by 300
- add 25
- multiply by 100
- add the last four digits of your phone number
- add the last four digits of your phone number
- add the last four digits of your phone number
- substract 2500
- divide by 3

It's magic!!

yes yes, I know. I'm a genius!

or maybe just really really bored.
