Math Trick!!

A fellow co-worker emailed me this today!!


Here is a math trick that will stump you. Personally I would like to know
who took the time to come up with this and why that person is
not running the county

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in
your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of you phone number (NOT
the area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?

We have 7 digit phone numbers, maybe if yours is different you won't get the same answer!

ok... here's a new one...

- take the first three digits of your phone number
- multiply by 300
- add 25
- multiply by 100
- add the last four digits of your phone number
- add the last four digits of your phone number
- add the last four digits of your phone number
- substract 2500
- divide by 3

It's magic!!

i dont get it, is the first one sposed to give you your phone number? i have a 7 digit number and it didnt work...or no number i recognized

edit...the last one didnt work for me either...am i broken?

maybe its a conspiricy... no one has said what really happens.... maybe nothing does and they are just saying it does so uhhh........yeah...that was really....cool!!

It came up with my home number on both problems Very cool

The both of them worked, its cool - I have been showing it around. It seems to have worked on everyone so far
