BF woke up this a.m to a freezer door wide open...
He suggested that either Lovey or Rocky jumped from the fridge kicking it open....leaving every single thing to thaw completely, leaving the meat unusable of course if not all eaten within the next couple of days.

I am busy cooking up as much as possible..

I think they planned it for extra meat treats, the sneaks

LOL, Milo did the same thing to me a few weeks ago! Glad I'm not the only one!

slice some meat kinda thin like bacon and dry it out in the oven and make jerky and use it as cat treats. that way it will keep a little longer.

My cats will jump on top of the counter and chew the into a bag of buns, bread, etc and just eat enough that they are ruined!!! Or jump and knock cover off butter dish and lick the butter.

We had a "child-proof" handle put on our freezer, because right after we got it, Jamie discovered what fun it was to open it. The funny thing was, the guy who came out to install it asked right away if we had a cat! My sister has a huge strap (obtained from a mover) around her fridge for the same reason.

Knock on wood my cats haven't done that. They did knock a chest of silverware off the top of the fridge once. Not sure how they managed that cause it weighed about 30 pounds. Broke the $100 box and put a hole in the linoleum. That floor cost me $1700 to replace (it was old anyway and the hole forced me to replace it).

Someone needs to start a thread on the most expensive fixes our cats have cost us.

Oh don't worry about the cats costing you money.. I was on TCS last night and went into the freezer to get my frozen dinner out, and I put it in the oven and I went back into the kitchen 30 minutes later and yup you guessed it, I had left the freezer open!

the only thing i can think of so far is, when i had my siemens phone my bunny chewed the cable so i bought a new one, then i got teufel and he did the exact same thing so i just gave up with the cable and bought a new phone!
anyway since we have moved into this house, teufel has been scratching and climbing the walls to get to the flies, and he has made scratches on our dining room table and chairs, im suprised he hasnt ripped up the couch though.
so in our new house im going to get a metal table! or atleast not a wood one from ikea

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
Ooops!

I've got my unit covered in quiches, sausage rolls etc... for a party i'm going to tomorrow. I covered them with a t-towel because Sophie jumped up onto the windowsill.

What did she do?, walk straight onto a quiche leaving a dent from one of her paws in it!

How about over $3,000 (the amount the insurance company didn't pay) to have part of the street ripped up and a water main cut and then replaced, because a certain little kitty (I won't mention names) got out, and was having so much fun playing "hide and seek" with mommy and daddy that he managed to get stuck in the pipe? Hey, it was the town's fault for doing repairs! And the fire and water companies love emergency calls in the evening! The water company got to test its "pipe camera", which is very useful for determining the exact location of stuck kitties. And who cares if mommy and daddy have been blacklisted, and can no longer insure their pets?

Our windows are secured with "cat net", and after the "little incident" described, my husband installed an "inside front door". In other words, we have a normal front door, and three feet behind that, another "front door".

we are presuming that this isnt going to be a summer where we can leave the windows open, but because we are planning to move back to frankfurt we plan to put the netting around the windows there.

I know what you mean about the front door, we have a main door but becuase its got our neighbours electricity twitch we have another door so its like a really small room. I just put a open regal there and store essential things like milk, toiletpaper and vacum cleaner, and paper mull.
since teufel has learned to open the doors we have learnt to LOCK IT!
he literally just jumps pulls down the tthing and just push the door

The handles on most of our doors are in a vertical position now, and the doors to the outside are double-locked. I have little plaques on the doors reading "Please Keep Closed".

Gotta love those kitties. Mine has never done that. She can open my closet doors by herself and she goes in there and sleeps.
