Errrr so last night I was getting off to sleep with Mr Guin at the end of the bed. He was sleeping on my blanket that has tassles on it and is made of chenille fabric.

Well anyway, he woke me up cos he was make really loud sucking noises on the tassles and just licking & sucking them all soggy
He stopped after 5 mins or so.

I have never seen him do this before. He is nearly two years old now and eating / drinking ok. Is this something that I should be concerned about if he does it again?

Cheers.

I would not worry about it. We took my parents cat Tiggy on a 6 hour road trip to gram's house about 4 years ago because she adores him as much as we do. When we got there he slept with me like normal but started milk treading and sucking the blanket. He would get it in his teeth and pull on it, suck on it and as if that wasnt weird enough he kept walking around in circles to wind up the blanket. I was amazed at this behavior and told mom and dad and no one believed me. Then he did it to them. We think he started cause he was so stressed out over the car trip (we never did that again) but now he does it on a regular basis. He purrs loud for him and will do that and curl up for a deeper sleep. We think its adorable and its his special way of comforting himself.
