Do kittens need wet food?

Pepsi's kittens are five and a half weeks old now, and since they started to show some interest toward wet food, I went and picked some up Sunday. Then we discovered the little munchkins are eating their mommy's dry food (Science Diet kitten food).

They are all eating, drinking, and using the litter box, though I think they are still nursing in the evening. Is there some reason they need to have wet food? They seem to be happy with the dry, and dry (Science Diet) is what we feed all our other cats, who all seem quite healthy. (The grownups don't get kitten food, of course.)

Thanks in advance for the help.
