Thanks, for all the great suggestions. I'll let you guys know what happens. It just really breaks my heart that shes developed this expensive habit. She is really perfect in every other way. Shes never pottied on the floor or scratched up anything (she doesn't have front claws) and she is very loving, shes my angel
. I really don't want to get rid of her, she is my first cat.

Getting her scratching posts will not work in that case. I would take her to the vet and see if she is okay health wise- sometimes declawed kitties develop habits to deal with the discomfort they experience when they are declawed. That is all I can suggest for you.

Well, shes been to the vet and is doing fantastic health wise except that she has allergies. Her feet do not hurt because she is declawed, and she does not walk funny. Sometime she'll act like she is scratching our furniture, personally I don't think not having front claws bothers her at all and it has certainly saved my furniture and door frames!
