As a Protestant, I'll tell you what I think. We are all people. Your denomination has no bearing on what kind of a person you are. There are Athiests, Christians, Jewish people, Muslims, Buddahists, Wiccans, etc. who are kind, generous, and loving human beings. There are also Athiests, Christians, Jewish people, Muslims, Buddahists, Wiccans, etc. who are greedy, selfish, and not-so-loving human beings.
It is unfortunate that priests and nuns have behaved badly (ok- a gross understatement). I don't judge the Church as a whole based on what these individuals have done; HOWEVER, I do think the Church should re-evaluate their ability to be spiritual leaders.
