I have read other threads on this issue but havent found a concrete answer to the question. I have a 5 month old cat who breathes very heavily. Its almost like the sound of an adult breathing. He doesnt have any other issues besides the heavy breathing.

Does anyone else know what im talking about or has a cat that has a similar issue. Im not sure if this is normal. When i mentioned it to my vet a month ago, he said it wasnt an issue since everything else seems ok with him.

Well, you are going to get some information across the board on that one. Breathing heavy after playing or lots of running can be normal. If your kitty is breathing heavy without alot of activity, I would be concerned about Asthma, heartworm disease, or possibly heart problems. If your current vet doesn't seem concerned, you may want to get a second oppinion to be on the safe side.
