I know, dumb question to ask in these forums
But what is the most outrageous, silly, or random thing you've done to keep your cats happy? You all know what I'm talking about... one of those things your family looks at you funny and moves back a few steps
Recently I've taken up sleeping on a sleeping bag on the floor of the room where Tehya had her kittens; I like keeping her company at night, even if it's just me sleeping! And I don't get so paranoid, since if something is wrong the kitten's squealing will wake me up

Loving my beautiful baby girl
I'm sure we could all write a novel abou the things we do for our babies! I phone home to leave Sierra messages when I'm out, for instance. What immediately comes to mind is what I'm doing as I type this~ balancing on about 1/4 in of chair since this is all the space Sierra cares to share with me at the moment of her computer chair!

I let myself be used as a climbing tool so my fat cat elliot doesnt have to jump the three feet up to get onto the top of the cat tree.. im sure I have claw scars on my back *sigh*
I also let them walk back and forth as much as they want even when i am doing something important. Elliot likes to walk to where the space he can sleep on the desk is, turn around, stand in front of the screen, bother me , stand on my lap, go onto the window, stand on the top of the tree, paw me in the back, jump down, stand on the computer box thing, knock the modem off, paw me, put his head in my armpit, and start all over again. He does this for like a half hour, and I just let him :p

If my baby is sleeping on my bed and I have to dry my hair I go into another room so the noise of the hairdryer doesn't disturb him
.If he's curled up on a jumper or jacket I want to wear I'll go without rather than disturb him and I'll sit on the floor if he's in my seat...

I have done so many things my family and friends think I crazy doing for my cats and even my feral cats. For instance when I had Princess spayed when she was 6 months old I had to put a matress on the floor and sleep there with her because she couldn't jump on the bed. I've spoon fed her when she is in starvation mode. She is anorexic and if she doesn't get her way she will starve herself. If someone goes with me when I take her to the vet I make them sit in the back seat because she is more comfortable in the front seat. I also call them when I'm gone and leave a message for them on the answering machine.

I also do crazy things for my ferals. I frequently will go outside in the middle of the night to feed them. They come knock on the door to let me know they're hungry. I could go on and on.

When i first got Rambo he was too little to get onto the bed (where he really wanted to be). So i took a footstool that i have in the kitchen (gotta love being short) and put it next to the bed so that he could jump up and see out the window or come cuddle easily. Of course i would wake up at night and bang my foot on the stool on my way out of the room
...but it was worth it

I've posted this before, but....I boil their drinking water (so it's completely sterile) and then keep it refrigerated before serving it to the cats... so they have cool and healthy water. I know they don't give a flip, but it makes me feel better

I'll only give Meish her water from the britta and then I put ice in it.
