I told you, I'd put up a picture I created in Photoshop using Actions, and here it is. It's resized from the original so it won't be too big for these forums

Thanks. I could work on this stuff 24/7 and never get tired of it. I sure wish I could get a job working on graphics and web design. I'd be the happiest person in the world.
I know what you mean, as far as when Ben Stiller had his "poses", and they consisted of pursing his lips. That was sort of Starchildesque. However, Paul without make up, looks nothing like Ben Stiller. Ben is kind of cute in a frumpy sort of way, but Paul is a god, especially in his youth. I'd like to see someone like Johnny Depp play Paul, if they ever made a movie about the guys of Kiss.Originally Posted by BigOrangeMenace

You know...
He kind of looks like Ben Stiller in "Zoolander" (Expecially with the white makeup)
O_O If they ever made a movie about Paul Stanley, He could play him :O
Yah.

There are books. Huge thick volumes that tell you some of the cool stuff you can do with Photoshop. Actions come with Photoshop. However, what comes with Photoshop are limited, just like the filters. Basically what an Action is, is a series of steps you take to create a certain affect. Like I said, Photoshop does provide some Actions with the program. You would find them in your little floating boxes, wherer you have Layers ect ect. The cool thing about Actions is, that you can actually download a lot of them for free off of the net, provided my Photoshop Pro's who have created them and then make them available for everyone. Some Actions are only available for sale. You can even create your own actions and save them to your Photoshop. The thing is, if you go on the net to download, either Actions or Filters, just make sure they're compatable with your version of Photoshop.Originally Posted by kluchetta
Ok, I have been using Illustrator & InDesign for a while, but never shelled out the bucks for PhotoShop. I JUST bought PhotoShop. So...what are Actions? And how does everyone get the background out of their photo to put on a new background and have it look SO good? Do you think the PS tutorials will cover that? Thanks so much!
