Harry Potter!! Book 6!! EEEEE!!!!!

I hope that it isn't dumbledore that dies in the next book... but it would be interesting to see who would become the next headmaster....Snape??

I can't really think of anyone else in the book that people would really care if they were killed off.... I know with book five people were worried it would be Mr. Weasley but then it was Sirius.... (shocked me, that's for sure). And we know that J.K. isn't going to kill off any of the fab three.

Any speculation on what Lilly's job was???

I am definitely buying this book for me to read on the plane home to NZ - saving it for that big moment! I bet it will be finished before I land - I go through the whole book really fast. Now I am inspired to read all 5 now!

I can't wait!

Yes, Lilly was Harry's mother. on muggle net it talks about how Lilly's job was important and part of why she was killed.

I think JK said that Dumbledore isn't the half blood prince... I should go back and check... good thought though!!! I have to wonder though... what is half blood?? Half good and half bad??? Half muggle and half wizard?? What other characters were half and half?? Seamus? (spelling on that name lol) I just remember the line in the first movie he was like "Me dads a muggle, mum's a witch...".... something about a nasty suprise.....

LOL. My mom has the fifth book at her house and I really really want it back so I can reread it but she lives in florida.... and me in kentucky so I'm plum out of luck lol. Its the Order of the Phoenix

I preordered the first day you could do so from amazon.com. In my past experience, you get the book from them on the release date, sometimes even the day before. We both are tremendous fans, but I am an insanely fast reader (took me 1 1/2 days to read Order of the Phoenix!) and we've agreed, I will read it first and then T can have it to read.

Okay... more things that I really want to find out more:

"More about the animosity between Snape and Sirius will be revealed in the last 2 books."

and

"During an interview, when JKR was asked in which Hogwarts room she'd like to be for 1 hour, she said it would be a room in which Harry has been before, but doesn't know its importance. Yet. (this could have happened in book 5, but we're unsure)"

and

"Harry's parents' profession will be a big part of the plot.
Something HUGE will be revealed about Lily Potter."



I'm wondering if maybe Snape and Sirius liked the same girl and Sirius got her or something lol. Hmmmm. I can't wait 34 more days.

I can not wait either! I'm totally pumped up about it. It seemed so disappointing after I read Book 5 because I couldn't continue reading. I still want to know how Harry and the gang did on their O.W.Ls!!!

Well, we know Hagrid is half-giant and Fleur is quarter-veela, so the half-blood prince could be someone who is half-human and half-something else. Or it could refer to magical heredity-Seamus has a muggle dad and witch mom, and JKR has said in interviews/on her website that Dean Thomas and Remus Lupin have one magical and one non-magical parent. Personally, I think it's going to be a character we haven't met before, or someone who was briefly mentioned in the first 5 books.

I just cant wait period! I pre-ordered my copy on day one for 40% off at Borders!!! There is a Borders near where I work, so right after work that day, I'm getting it!! I absolutely CAN NOT wait!!!!!

I think lilly and james both were aroarars (spelling) werent they? I swear somewhere when harry decided he wanted to be one the comment was made that his parents were that... maybe book 3? Dunno. JKR said multiple times dumbledore is not the half blood prince, she also said we will find out why dumbledore trusts snape (see my earlier post) so I doubt either of those will die. She said she will explain why she killed of sirrus. I think hagrid is the hbp, and some reason I also think he will die. Someone on the forums there thinks neville will die (remember voldemort could have chosen either harry or neville he chose harry, why?) but I dont think he will. All I can say is I cant wait to read it!

I'm pretty sure I read that Petunia is a muggle, and Dudley is not the half-blood prince, but can you imagine Uncle Vernon's reaction if he were? Almost worth it.

I have not read the HP books but I hear from a friend that the books are actually twice is good as the movies - AWESOME
My son and I are huge HP movie fans so I am getting my son the books so we can read them together. I can't wait to see the next movie it looks like it will be a great one as all the rest.

you NEED to read those books!!

I think that is a good plan, I am sure we will enjoy them very much. I have been told so much about the books that actually are not in the movies so " WHAT AM I MISSING? " is the question I need to answer. Reading is always so much better anyway
