Hi everyone!
I'm VERY new here, and am wondering if there are any other members in OR. I live in Gladstone, just south of Portland.
I've owned cats for over 25 years, and in the past 5 years have done foster care for the OR Humane Society & other groups, as well as rescue work for Ragdoll Rescue (based in Keizer OR & on PetFinder).
My preference are "special needs" cats, which comprise most of my feline family. I have 3 tripods, 3 blind, 3 missing one eye, and 1 deaf. There are 2 more that are super shy/bordering on feral. What a Motley Crew! I adore them all.
My oldest cat is about 13 yrs, the youngest 3.5 months. (I'm getting him Sunday, 6/5 from a rescue group in southern OR. He was born with a deformed sternum and may have a very short life.)
It's just my husband & I and all our critters, no human kids. In addition to the cats, I have 6 guinea pigs too!
If anyone thinks I'm a bit wacko for having so many furry kids, you're probably right. But they all get lots of love & the best of care. When I figure out how, I'll send pictures as proof
